I’m really excited to feature Jenifer Fair this week on The Blog. I connected with Jenifer on social media a little bit ago now and it was been amazing getting to know her. She radiates Joy and is so full of wisdom to list a few. I’m excited for you to get to know her a bit more today.
P.S – Single Ladies, she has a little msg for you at the end 😉
If you could choose any spice to describe your personality, what spice would that be and why?
This was honestly the hardest question to answer. I would say ginger. Ginger has a special taste, it’s different from all the other spices. I would say I relate to ginger because I am unique and different. I’d rather stand out and be remembered for being different instead of trying to be like everyone else.
What does everyday life look like for you?
Every day looks like an opportunity to be the woman God created me to be. Every day, I wake up, go to work, study for college, lead a dance ministry, teach at a dance studio, volunteer, spend time with community and spend alone time with Jesus.
What inspired you to start a blog and where do you see it going?
I was inspired to create a blog because I desired to reach out to women. God has given me an ability to write so why not use the gift into what he has called me to do? I strongly desire my blog to grow as a full-time ministry and use it to pour into women who desire empowerment, encouragement and change.
Describe the last time you were the happiest?
The last time I’ve been the happiest was when I allowed God to break some huge bondages in my life and experienced a sense of freedom in my life. I was holding onto so much pain and bitterness towards the season I am currently in and would continuously experience anxiety attacks because I lacked control in my life. I experienced true joy when my youth pastor prayed specifically for those who doubted God and His promises. I was able to surrender my heart and accept His will currently in this season and the next upcoming season. It was the first in a very long time that I felt true happiness and freedom.
If you could give a message to your generation, what would it be?
I would say to this generation to never take life for granted. Don’t wait to break a bad habit or to make a change. Time is short and should never be wasted by playing on our cell phones, social media and video games. Don’t sit around for an opportunity. Go be the opportunity that you’re waiting for.
What inspires you to keep going after your dreams?
What inspires me to continue going after my dreams is constant prayer. There are several ways that motivate me especially my morning cup of coffee. However, nothing motivates me more than prayer. And when I say prayer, I mean laying on the ground, complete surrender and deep moments of seeking Jesus. God has never failed to show up when I go all in.
What advice do you have for other single women?
Single ladies! Oh darlings, I truly understand your season. I feel every ounce of impatience, anxiousness, and irritability in this season. Ladies, embrace your season! If you desire to get married, you are not called to singleness. God has someone so wonderful for you! Don’t settle for second best! Embrace this time and don’t rush! God’s perfect timing can never be rushed. Relax, breathe! God has it all figured out. We need to simply live our lives and enjoy where we are. God will send the man at the right timing to pursue our hearts when He gives the okay! Singleness doesn’t last forever, in fact, it is such a short season! Take a break from rushing God and just rest easily knowing that God is in control. Sit back and let him taking the steering wheel and I promise he hasn’t forgotten you!
