Passion is beautiful. I love hanging out with people who are passionate. Passion lights you up.
I love meeting new people and asking them what they are passionate about. This type of person lights up and they get so excited about the things they’re involved in. This summer, I recently met a lot of new people at my friend’s wedding. For example, one of the gals was so passionate about dancing and acting that when she talked about her dance show she glowed with excitement. That is why I really love encouraging people to go after what they love to do–to do the impossible. These passions have been put inside our hearts since we were born. When we get to a certain age, most people have clarity of their vision and go after it with zeal. I recently found this amazing quote on the Internet. “If you can’t figure out your purpose, figure out your passion. For your passion will lead you right into your purpose” (T.D Jake’s). I thought this was brilliant! I didn’t know what I was passionate about for the longest time, until I was around people in the Media/Entertainment Industry. My whole being lit up (poof!!) I was awakened, my senses lit up, I was on a mission….mission impossible.
So I encourage people to find out what their purpose is in life, whatever that may be, and set goals to achieve it. If you don’t know what your passion’s are, sit down with a pen and paper and start writing down things you’re interested in. One of the things I have learned is to get a Journal and write down your dreams, ambitions, poems, or anything that’s on your mind. You will be surprised when you start writing, because there will be moments in your life that you will be inspired. What comes to mind is, how song writers have moments where a song comes easy, and other times its more difficult. Another thing you can do, is set up a quiet place with no distractions, put on some nice music, make your room cozy and set the mood to awaken your dreams. Then ask yourself, what pulls your heart, and what makes you super excited? We must realize that our passions are a gift in us and it is not for us to hide, but for the world to see them. The time is never too late to go after your passions, whether your young or older don’t lose your dreams in life. Today is a great day to start going after them.
You can always learn from someone else talking about their passions. So don’t wait any longer. The time is now. I dare you to dream big.
